MacInnis Construction brought attention to detail and craftsmanship to long-neglected areas of our home. Their team includes creative problem solvers who are respectful of my family's time and space, which I think is important in any client relationship.
Heather and Gary are a rare combination of skill, dedication and communication that have helped transform two of my homes in the past five years. The first was a facelift for the front of my country home which I feel helped immensely in the quick sale of that home. With my current home, they gave me incredible ideas, spent generous time with me picking out the right materials for my home and completed it with detail and cleanliness that was tremendous and easy to work with. I am excited to tackle the second phase of my home remodel with Gary and Heather!!
Heather and Gary with MacInnis Construction were wonderful to work with, their proactive and hands on approach truly convinced me that I was working with the right general contractor for our commercial construction build out needs. They communicated beyond my expectations throughout the process and I always felt like I was on the same page with them from start to finish.
In a single year Gary and Heather totally renovated two full baths in our home, doing great design and carpentry work and juggling other tradesmen with expert timing. In both cases the finished product is stunning!
Gary and Heather single-handedly restored our faith in contractors and construction projects! After witnessing friends and family face disaster after disaster with home improvement projects, we were hesitant to jump into large projects we had looming. After seeing completed projects by MacInnis Construction, and after hearing from friends and neighbors about the quality of the work they did, we decide to jump in. They didn't disappoint. In fact, Heather, Gary, and their team exceeded our expectations time and again. Their attention to detail and resistance to corner cutting is clear in everything they do. After the amazing work they did on our first project, we started making a list of projects that we'd love to have them do. Whether your old home needs some love (like ours!) or your newer home needs repairs or upgrades, I know from experience that you won't find better people for the job. They do what they say they will do (and more) when they say they will do it--an ethic to which few businesses truly adhere today. They really are the best!
The work that Heather and Gary did in our home is amazing, high quality work. They worked with us on a fairly complex project of combining new and salvaged materials in an upstairs addition. Our top priority was making the new part of the home blend with our historic 1892 Queen Anne home. While it would have been easier I am sure to use all new materials, they were creative with how to make our idea into a reality. In spite of the complexity of utilizing the salvaged materials, we feel we got a good value for our remodeling dollars. Because of Gary's carpentry skills and Heather's design skills, we were able to be true to the beauty of our home's original features. The transition is nearly seamless. This project has allowed us to stay in our home, which we had outgrown. We're so happy that Heather and Gary were able to be a part of this project. We will be using them for the final stage of the project, which is designing and completing the full bathroom.
We still love every inch of (our kitchen)...the design, the materials, the workmanship.
