Kitchen Remodel - Indianapolis
This kitchen was one of our favorites so far. This house sits on the west side of Indianapolis and is over 130 years old. Because this is a true masonry structure (meaning the walls are about 18" thick and solid brick), it was a rewarding challenge to figure out how to update some mechanicals, specifically electrical. But with a little creativity and some willingness on the part of the homeowner to be flexible in how the problems were solved, we created a kitchen that is a joy to work in and spend time entertaining friends and family. The existing kitchen was, we are guessing, last updated in the early 80's. It was poorly designed, making the space chopped up and cramped with bulkheads over countertops, a huge bumpout for the wall oven and cooktop and an awkward peninsula in the middle of the space.
